WHO Are WE?

What WE Believe!

We're disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ with a strong desire to worship, honor, and bring glory to God through our faith and in each of our daily lives.

We're located in Monmouth Oregon right across the street diagonally from Western Oregon University.

We're a small congregation that believes growth means MUCH MORE than simply adding members to our ranks.

Our purpose is to GROW in our love, knowledge, and understanding of the one true God through fellowship with other like-minded believers.

Our calling is to be an example to all, of what it looks like to have a relationship with our savior Jesus Christ.

We want to make ourselves available to be used by God for His will.

We would LOVE for you come worship with us!

It's time to experience God.

We affirm the basic doctrines of the Christian faith and The Evangelical Church.

We believe the Bible to be the infallible, authoritative word of God.

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ. We recognize His virgin birth, His atoning death through the shedding of His blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to heaven, and that He is coming again.

We believe that eternal life is a gift from God, received only by grace though faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the Spirit-filled life and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, which is a result of total submission by each believer, and dedication to the sovereign will of God.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; Those who are saved to eternal life in heaven, and those who are lost to eternal punishment in hell.

We believe there is a spiritual unity among believers; Those who love and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are part of the Pacific Conference of The Evangelical Church of North America, and meet in one of (if not) the oldest church buildings in Monmouth Oregon!

History!

The origin of The Evangelical Church can be traced back to the Wesleyan movement in England under John Wesley, the founder of The Methodist Church. It is distinctly a North American Church, having had its beginnings in the great spiritual awakening which visited the early colonists in the new world after the middle of the eighteenth century. Like the early Methodists, they preached the pure Word of God, and declared that men can be saved from sin, through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and that this experience must be followed by a life of dedication and holiness.
