Jimmy Miller

Pastor Jimmy Miller lives in Monmouth with his wife Lisa and their granddaughter Alyssa. He works a full-time job managing a succesful chemical supply business in Salem and recieves no salary from the congregation for his pastoral services.

He was raised in the Salem area and has some very interesting historical family ties to the Monmouth-Independence faith community. His ancestors were involved in founding one of the earliest church congregations in Monmouth.

Jimmy rebelled from God for many years, trying to operate under his own power until one day he came to the realization that he could not avoid hitting rock bottom without help from the Lord.

With a simple straight-forward love for Jesus Christ, and the desire to see the kingdom of God magnified, Jimmy has made it his goal to be a "fisher of men." He is unconcerned with outward appeal and materialistic excesses. He understands that, although he is accountable for leading others as a preacher and pastor, he is ultimately just a regular person like the rest of us.

With that in mind, he depends on the Spirit of God to guide and shape him. As he sometimes says when asked if he has been sanctified, by the grace of God, every day a little bit more than yesterday.
